FM's people talk back.
Journalists who remember your answers. People who talk back in meetings. All from your own save.
- Callum FreerPlayer talk · Criticism
I know I'm not where I want to be, but saying nobody will want me feels a bit harsh.
- Teodor BrankovTeam talk · Half-time, 3–0 up
What was that about? I scored!
- Ilyes MarchettiRefusing to train
It's hard to focus when I feel my future is blocked. I need clarity on where I stand.
- Graham WhitlockBoard meeting
You get more time. But I want 10 points from the next 5 games, and I won't say it twice.
- Sami HaddouchePlayer talk · Criticism
An embarrassment? I've covered more ground than anyone in this squad. Say it in front of the lads next time.
- Dominic StrandAgent · Refusing to train
My client isn't going to sit back and accept a transfer without a solid plan for his future.
- Hollie MarsdenPress conference
After a 3–0 win, do you feel the team has put the humiliation of the derby behind them?
- Ruben OkontaPlayer talk · Transfer listed
Being put on the transfer list without a conversation feels disrespectful.
- Dario MelchiorrePlayer asks for a talk · Walked out
Then we're done talking. Speak to my agent.
- Lukas BrennekeRival manager · Your title tip
I appreciate the vote of confidence, but we have a lot of work to do before we're title contenders.
- Jaylen AshworthPlayer talk · Praise
'Alright'? I feel like I've contributed a lot more than just being alright.
- Graham WhitlockBoard meeting · Budget
The budget stays where it is. Half of it is still unspent, so don't tell me it's too small.
- Mateo FerrandizIn the press · Your comments
If the manager has a problem with me, he knows where my locker is. I read it in the papers like everyone else.
- Femi ArowoloInterview · Transfer link
I have no intention of signing. It's flattering to be linked, but my focus is on my current team.
- Mireille DaucourtHead of youth development
His potential hasn't materialised, and with his unambitious personality it might be best to let him go.
- Nils ØsterbyPlayer talk · Dropped
Dropped for him? You've lost the dressing room and you're the last one to know.
- Rui ValadaresAgent · After a lowball offer
To reopen talks, we'll need a sincere acknowledgment of where the last offer fell short.
- Owen Pryce-DaleyCaptain · The dressing room
The dressing room is a mix of frustration and determination. We all expected to be higher up the table.
- Hollie MarsdenPress conference · No comment
No comment again? That's three weeks running. The fans deserve better than that.
- Bram LievensPlayer talk · Training
I'm not just here to blend in. I want to be a key player for this team.
- Anton SjöbergDirector of football
That would stretch our budget significantly. We'd need to sell before we can fund that move.
- Kofi Mensah-HartPlayer talk · Poor performance
I don't think it was all on me. There were other factors in that game, and I need to feel supported too.
Journalists who ask fresh questions and remember what you told them last time.
Questions are reworded, so conferences never read like a script. Each journalist has a voice, and you can answer out loud. After every conference, how they see you moves, one exchange at a time:
- A genuine answer warms them.
- A non-answer cools them.
- No comment depends on the moment: stonewall or banter.
- Storming out costs you with the journalist whose question it was.
Standing runs from −100, disliked, to +100, favoured. FM's own relationship value is never changed.
Press-room footage lands here soon.
Player talk · Criticism, in front of a teammate · 8 Mar 2044
- You
Kasper, look at Tomás here and listen. Your attitude in training is a disgrace. You jog around like a pensioner, and frankly you're an embarrassment in front of the younger lads.
- Kasper Vandewalle
I understand your concerns. I can see how it might look from the outside, but I'm really putting in my best effort. I want to lead by example for the younger players.
- You
Fix it, and I promise you'll start the next three league games.
- Kasper Vandewalle
I appreciate the chance to prove myself. I won't let you down. I'll show the younger lads what it means to work hard.
Sit down with the people around your club. They answer in their own words.
- Players
- Praise, criticism, an injury, a loan move: they answer back.
- Agents
- Ask about a client and they answer for him.
- Staff
- Training traits and each player's roles, in and out of possession.
- Head of Youth
- The intake comes sorted into offer, borderline and let go, with mentoring groups, and they act on what you decide in the room.
The colours come from the competition you're in.
Pick a night. The whole broadcast repaints, and the screen on air follows a club that wears the same colours.
